HISTORY OF AL SAFA PARK DUBAI

Before we take a detailed look at the hive of activities in Safa Park, let’s peek into the history of the park.  It was established in 1975 on the outskirts of urban Dubai. After its inauguration in 1975, the first phase of developments began in 1984. The new facilities included at this stage were an indoor playground, better sanitary facilities and other provisions for sports. The Government of Dubai spent over AED 45M towards the maintenance and upkeep of the renovations to the Safa Park from 1989 to 1992 to offer better facilities to the visitors.

Safa Park Dubai has an electronic game centre that is sure to keep gamers and young adults busy. Sports are a good way to stay active and sporting facilities such as basketball, volleyball and football courts are available in the park.

DUBAI CANAL

A part of the gorgeous Dubai Canal passes right through Safa Park, which is another reason why visitors love spending time in the park. Enjoy the pristine calm waters of the Dubai Canal from the walkways and bridges as your stroll or jog near the canal. The breathtaking views of the glimmering Dubai Canal is perfect for taking photos.
